EVERYTHING IS ENERGY
As I sped through the streets, weaving in and out of lanes, I felt this rush of adrenaline. But I didn’t realize that my aggressive driving was sending out a ripple of energy into the world around me. It was like throwing a stone into a calm lake—what I put out there would eventually come back to me.
Approaching a crowded intersection, I noticed a blue car trying to keep pace with me. The driver must have sensed my urgency because he started to accelerate, trying to outmaneuver me. I glanced in my rear view mirror and saw him tailgating, which only added to my frustration. So, I switched lanes abruptly, and of course, he followed right along, still tailgating.
In that moment, I could feel the tension building. Other drivers around us started to mirror this aggression. Horns were honking, and tempers were flaring. A motorcycle zipped past, and I caught a glimpse of the rider glaring at me. My heart raced—not just from the speed, but from the chaos I was unintentionally creating.
Then, a thought struck me, something my mother always said: “What you put out into the world comes back to you.” It hit me like a ton of bricks. I was creating this whirlwind of negativity, and I needed to change that. So, I took a deep breath and eased off the gas, letting my car settle into a more relaxed pace.
I turned down the volume of my music and focused on the road ahead. Almost immediately, I noticed a shift. The blue car that had been close behind me started to slow down, the driver visibly relaxing. Even the motorcycle rider lifted his hand in a gesture of peace, signaling he was ready to let go of the tension.
As I continued to drive calmly, the energy around me transformed. Other drivers began to mirror my newfound patience, and the traffic flowed more smoothly. I smiled to myself, realizing that by changing my energy, I had changed the entire atmosphere on the road.
By the time I reached my meeting, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I had learned something important that day: the energy we project shapes our experiences and the interactions we have with others. If I choose to approach life with patience and kindness, I attract the same in return. From that day on, I became more mindful of my energy—both on the road and in life. Can you relate ? lets think of other examples of how energy this effects us…
